What began as a peaceful celebration of faith and togetherness ended in horror on Sunday evening when mass shooting at Bondi Beach claimed the lives of at least 15 people, after gunmen deliberately targeted a Jewish Hanukkah event.
The attack took place around 6:47 pm during Chanukah by the Sea, a Public gathering attended by families, children, and visitors celebrating the first night of Hanukkah. The event, meant to symbolize light, resilience, and hope, was shattered when gunfire erupted near the beanchfront, sending hundreds into panic.

Bondi Beach Shooting Incident: A Tragic Event
Eyewitnesses reported hearing rapid gunshots as people screamed and run for safety. Parents shielded their children, while others hid behind cars and nearby structures. Within minutes, Bondi Beach one of Australia’s most iconic tourist locations became a crime scene filled with chaos, sirens, and injured victims.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly. Police confronted the attackers, fatally shooting one suspect at the scene. The second gunman was wounded and taken into custody. Authorities later confirmed the suspects were a father and son, aged 50 and 40.
